I think we have three ok train lines in uk - london-doncaster-Newcastle-Edinburgh, london-crewe-carlisle-Glasgow, london-bristol-Cardiff. Otherwise our trains are fucking diabolical. It'll make the journey 3h30 rather than 2h30 due to slower roads, but the distance is only about five miles more.
