Ok i have sent my own email to the editor of C+VG,it reads as follows...



Dear Sir,
I have only just read your review of the PS2 version of KO2002 and frankly im disgusted at your magazines actions.Why you ask?Well for starters you reviewed an early preview version of the game which cant hold a candle to the finished version.Secondly the PS2 version remains unfinished and will not be released so i dont know how you can justify giving an opinion on an unfinished product which will not be on sale.
The reason im so annoyed,well im fucking fuming to be honest.Is that the PC version will be going on sale in the near future and will without doubt be the finest game of football available to pc owners,this shoddy procedure of reviewing a half finished PS2 version could be detrimental to the sales of the pc game and also tarnish the image of the great man Steve Screech one of the original kick off team.
I hope you will see fit to make note of this terrible error of judgement in the next issue of your magazine and offer a full and sincere apology to Steve Screech and every kick off fan around the world.

cool down mates.a little more cautiousness.take bjarte for example with the norwegian magazine ,often these guys need only a second look to change their stupid opinion.if you are to offensive he will be only a pig-headed fellow and wont stop writing s***.you have to try it at first more the diplomatic way.

There's a difference between a poor review and a biased one. This guy is obviously biased against Anco, as Steve said. I second Mark's e-mail, I'd also add that I'd never buy this magazine in the future, and I'd advise everyone I know to do the same.

Thing is mate this is a big selling magazine in the UK and the review is on paper now.
We cant help but be very upset about this,diplomacy isnt going to hold much water in this instance im afraid but an apology would be nice.Saying that pigs flying would be nice as well. <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

The only way to amend this is to get them to do a full fair review of the finished (or at least demo) product.

If they then say its pants well that is their opinion and they are entitled to it.

Hopefully if they give the review a proper go through then it will at least allow them to put some more positive comments, I doub't they are going to completely change their minds and says its great, but rather they said something nice to allow people to make their own minds up.

Also, although I like Becks Email, I personally would keep away from Emailing them, if they have something personal about anco no amount of bombardment is going to alter their views, in fact it may only add wood to their fires.

What kind of problem would they have with ANCO??? This sounds so unprofessional and totally illegitimate! Thumbs down for CVG. I won't email them at all. It's not worthy to do so.

I have received an email back from CVG explaining that Acclaim actually went into their offices and handed them a copy which they said was ready for review, so the fault for this debacle lies squarely at Acclaims door and CVG are exhonerated.

Why don't you email acclaim to confirm that? I bet they'll tell you a different story...
