my name is Pietro and I come from Trieste (Italy, FVG). I'm new to this community but not to the game. I've been playing Kick-Off for years (in its different versions, mostly KO2 extended version) since 1989 on Commodore Amiga 500. yes, I just can say that I grew up with this game. because of life, work and available time, I left my Amiga and old dreams in the 90's to enter the Windows PC environment, which I still use for both work and hobby. After many years of absence from videogames, a friend of mine introduced me in the amazing universe of Unreal Tournament (a well-known 1999 FPS by Epic Games). I'm still a fan of that game which I play sometimes but I never forgot the good old times, those of Amiga, of floppy disks and endless matches with my friends during summer (Kick-Off 2, Dynablaster, Speedball, IK+, Zoom, Drip), the times when we were all young and happy.
sad times now. as many people, I passed this 2020 almost always at home in smart working due to pandemic condition caused by covid-19. but this dramatic year, surprisingly, gave me also the opportunity to do some things I never would have done in other conditions: I spent some time on reviewing old interests like Amiga and retrogaming (MAME). some weeks ago, I installed WinAUE and casually I discovered these KO resources.
now I would like to get back to some Amiga games, especially KO, on Commodore Amiga or, more easily, on an pc-emulated Amiga. I discovered also that I can still use my old Suncom TAC-2 joystick with new Amiga emulators on Windows pc through an USB adapter, wow simply amazing, I love it !
I found very interesting this KO2 competition version (KO2CV) which I really didn't know. I never heard about it but I noticed when, some days ago, I watched the Kick-Off World Cup 2019 final on YouTube. it's really awesome the fact that people still develop for old games of the past (even though it's not a unique case: recently, for example, a new update of Unreal Tournament '99 was published for the community after 15 years). my hat goes off for you sirs, you're the best men.
ok, the time of questions has come

- are still around any italian players ? (in case, an italian KO community still exists ?)
- I'm a bit rusty about Amiga and emulators, where can I find useful infos (config, hardware, etc) ?
- I would need a USB adapter to use my TAC-2 joystick. I noticed this product (https://www.mayflash.com/Products/N64SNESSS/PC054.html) is not available. where I can find something similar with no latency ?
- I heard about an AmigaLive project, it supports also KO2, how about the lag during netplay ? someone tested it ? it's the same of Kick-Off2 online or it's a different thing ? sorry for the stupid questiom, but I've been far away from Amiga for too long...
I know, many questions so every hint or comment will be appreciated. thanks in advance

cheers,
Pietro
