Found the article again in my photobucket-account. Thought I might share it again. Photobucket now takes money to allow Third-party hosting. So I moved the picture to another host.

With a common fascination for a 15 year old football-game, Kick Off enthusiasts from Germany, Sweden - and Tromsø joined up for a tournament this weekend.

- Yeees! Alex Brante reaches his arms up, cheering a perfect shot. Straight in the net.
Brante traveled all the way from Berlin to take part in saturdays Kick Off 2 tournament in Tromsø. John Hogström and Bjørn Persson fom Östersund put a significant number of kilometers behind them, for this tournament.
Most young men - og maybe as many young women, may know of Kick Off 2. When it hit the market in 1991 it revolutionised football on consoles, and in many teenage-room several hundreds of hours was spent with joystick in hand.
Tiny players move staccatto across the screen. Cameraangle is the same throughout the game and the graphics is of the shady kind. But even though Kick Off 2 very much looks like it's 15 years old, it's still got a sturdy following.
Brante says there's a yearly Kick Off 2 World Championship. Himself has participated three times. When Milan hosted in 2004, Jørn Flagtvedt from Tromsø took part as well.
Flagtvedt is now prime mover for the Tromsø Kick Off scene. And he was hosting this weekends tournament.
- Any opportunity to play Kick Off needs to be taken advantage of. This is just way cool! he grins, before curling the ball in the net, equalizing the match between Norway and Germany to 1-1.

Picture-caption: Gaming. (From right) Alex Brante, Jørn Flagtvedt, Vilde Jakobsen Flagtvedt and Lars Eirik Allertsen are ready to go.
