Anyway John, if you love Kick Off Revival as I do then you will have a lot of fun with Active Soccer 2 DX on PS4 too. Just be sure to remove all the aids and then you have a full retro game experience.

I'll get it for the PC, probably. Can you tell me if I can use my retro style joystick to play this? Is it a classic one button game?

I strongly suggest you PS4 version because it is the most advanced one at the moment and it supports online.
On PS4 it implements 4 buttons, shot, short pass, long pass, dash. Nothing complicated.
On PC it implements 2 buttons but again it needs a big update.

Just like to pop in and vouch for this game - an absolute beauty and deserves to be a great success. Sometimes the idea of a retro classic is a lot better than the actual product, but this dispels that notion with a fusion of KO2 and SWOS that is perfectly playable and will become a staple of future JFF/meet ups I host.

OK, so I finally bit the bullet and got the PS4 version. First impressions, after one friendly match... really good!

With KOR available, and this and Sociable out at some stage, this is really turning into a good time to be a retro-football fan.

It hasn't the same learning curve depth of KOR but at least is enjoyable game I think. Especially the career mode.

The only comparison I will make between the two is that they are both fun to play. Having tried Sociable Soccer at Play Expo, last year, I can also say that I enjoyed playing that, and will carry on screaming from the rooftops that we're allowed to enjoy all of the games!

I've had a few games now, and am enjoying it. One question - I haven't seen the options to remove all of the aids. Am I being dense, (probably) or are the options well hidden?
