I too tried it under Windows 7 64-bit, but also couldn't get it to work.
Maybe you can try virtualization software like VirtualPC or VMWare.
But personally, I would go for Active Soccer on iOS or Android.
Or... sign up for the development of the PC version!

Is this game still being developed? If so, is there any chance os it being playable across the LAN/internet?

Last question... is it still possible to get the real name/real kit mod?

Hi John, glad you like Throw In.
the game is not supported any more, I am developing Active Soccer 2 that is some kind of sequel of Throw In.
If you want a multi player game, with full career mode and nice GFX then i suggest to check Active Soccer 2
