No one asked me THE question. Is KO2-like game still interesting? Does KO2 like game still have an audience?

In these days I have studied the people reactions depending on what category they are belonging:
  • • NERDS: generally they dislike the game and use irony to describe the game (ie: animations made without motion capture, GFX not comparable with Mass Effect on PS3, etc..). They generally ask where is the button to sprint, make a feint, select player, perform an auto-pressing, and so on. They can’t even catch the ball.
    • YOUNG BOYS < 14 y.o.: they have no prejudices. They usually play the game infinitely until their mother ask them to leave the game. They show a lot of progress at each played match. They generally say “it’s really cool” when playing the game.
    • 90’s PLAYERS: they love the game and know exactly what is a loose ball control. Unfortunately they can’t play with virtual stick on iPad, but I guess they would enjoy the game with a proper joystick
    • CASUAL GAMERS: they don’t know what FIFA or PES are, they don’t know KO2 or Sensible. They just play the game and…they seem to enjoy the game due simplified controls. They say “it’s nice” when playing the game.
    • FIFA or PES players: read NERDS report.
Each category asked me why i didn't use real names

Gianluca, no one asks the question here as we are all in bucket 5 - we just love the idea of one of our own creating a great new game that looks and plays brilliant.

most of us here played TI in Milan last time around, and we loved it :)

Actually I'm not surprised by the NERDS reaction. They want FIFA and PES, so they should play those games.
I think it is good for you to know that with Active Soccer you should aim at the middle 3 categories (young, 90's and casual).

Using real names is just a 'gimmick' that costs a lot of effort to maintain. Not to mention the costs for the rights to use the real club and player names/images. If the gameplay is great, it really doesn't matter if you have real club and player names.
Even the graphics are not that important in the end.
A game should be fun to play, rewarding for the player and have balanced gameplay. Then people will keep playing it for a very long time.

P.S. Will the game only be released for iPhone and iPad or also for PC?
