don't mean to be egotistical, but did i just get a telling off in the 'new members' part?
I'd just like state, once again, I didn't propose anything, i backed a proposal made by a long time member... with some passion but mostly because comparisons were being made which I thought, and still do, were irrelevant to the topic, but please... go back and tell me where i demanded anything and i will apologise very sincerely.

No certainly not a telling off quite the contrary.

I am trying to explain to you and new members the reasons there may be what seems to be a mistrust or misunderstanding of new members intent.

I hope that makes sense?

If it came across as a telling off it certainly was not meant in that manner.

Your input here is as relevant as any members, I just want to ensure that if you feel 'destroyed' by a response that this is not aimed as a personal attack, there is usually reason behind a response.

And another thing, its probably being aware of the folowing situation -


Member x posts a topic about something a little risque (say rule change)

Member y (been here a few weeks, seems a nice blok) agrees with post x.

Member y replies And agrees publicly.

Member z, someone who has maybe seen something similar get out of hand reacts strongly against member x and member y.

Member y tried to expand on his post, pointing out he was being reasonable.

Member x sits back and hides..

Member z then reacts to member y

Member y the reacts back


All looks a bit bad to the outsider, some
On member y's side some
On member z's side....everyone forgets member x sitting in the corner quietly
