Ok Nikos has done a load of work behind the scenes and passed it to me as I have access to sort...problem is I am stupid and have no clue what I am doing.

We actually have 2 Wikis!

One is the old one that fell out of support and will be a bastard to update, but has all the info

The other is new version super secure and clean but with no info


We have 3 options.

#1 I have tried many times to simply move the database over, it doesn't like this as too many changes to the application have gone on since I started.

#2 Do What Nikos has instructed me to do, but I can't get my head around it and my PC at home is goosed at the moment.

#3 Start fresh with New wiki

Basically option 2 from what I can see is to take the crap thats there and upgrade it x times.

This needs to be done via Secure Shell, which I have but can never get to work the way I mean to, so am trying to do this without blowing up the rest of the server which I will do (and have done before getting us kicked out!)

Basically, the issue here is to upload the db back to server. I downloaded the wiki db and updated it to my PC. New KOA Wiki runs like a dream. Unfortunately, I am getting old and my mind cannot keep what I did and what version we are in. I think 1.21 but I see they are in 1.22 now. Bastards... Maybe in 6-7 years we will update again . Anyway, I think the desirable is to upload the db. Once it is done, we will replace the wiki files with the new ones and we are done. The issue is to upload the db without nuking KOA from orbit.

Nikos I am lost here as the WIKI I installed is the newest version but I have no database backup that seems to want to upload to it (ie. as you told me there have been lots of changes between the KOA wiki and the new official version, and coz we (or rather the owners of the WIKI, not me or you) never updated it it got a bit behind.

For info the location and version of the latest WIKI (blank version) is 1.21.5

I have to keep stressing that Nikos is doing all the work behind the scenes as usual and then the final bit is generally just my bit and I promise him I will do it as soon as I have time, and then 2 months passes and he reminds me again and I promise again...and this goes on.

so its my fault...but I am still not sure how I fix it
