I think only one person finished above anyone who was seeded two groups higher. That is a sign of good seeding - and congratulations to Michael for punching above his weight.

Anyway you know, seeding is done to be broken.
The only point is to prevent unbalanced groups at the very first stage as much as we can to give equal chances in every group. so I do think the job was fair enough.
What happens after that stage depends on performance of every single player. One over performing one playing below his usual average.
