A discussion about Tactics

Postby durban » Tue Jul 17, 2012 10:57 am

As has been widely publicised, I recently reverted to using 424 as basically 532 is for Girls and Gheys!

However last night I played a few games with 433 and Falcon (as well as Balanced and 442)

I was wondering how many people use falcon and what the benefits are from it?

From what I can tell it gives you forwards that are a little bit further advanced than 424 but also Coxy seems to sit a bit more forward as well (so easier to get caught at the back) but I also felt my wingers were in better positions to receive passes from the back, rather than 424 where they start just short of the half way line, I felt they Falcon wingers were already breaking past the half way line when an early pass was made...which I have to admit I like a lot

I no longer have PM so cannot 'look' at the tactics but was just trying to have a chat on the pros and cons of Falcon really?

Can't offer any help/advice - however I'm sure falcon is what I used to play in the old days...

If I remember correctly, Falcon is Hawk.

I bet Dagh could add some good observations too. I don't use it myself but I recall Robert often reverts to Falcon when he's chasing a game. Not when he's ahead though. Think he used it against me last! :)
