Prepare to meet your doom

Postby Pee » Tue Jul 22, 2003 5:06 pm

As I now have BB, I would like to give this another try.

I have all the gear and that and just need someone to play against and to talk me through it for the first time.

Just post here if/when anyone thinks they will be free.

.....oh and you won't really meet your doom (unless it's Durbs of course)

I'm in the same situation as Pee :?

I have got it working on 1 player but would like to try an on line game - perhaps if a couple of you more experinced hands could suggest a time and date we could have a little round robin tiournament

I bet I'm last!
I didn't mean to kick it like that!

Erm 30ms is very good mate, I think anything under 50 gives you a great game, under 80 is still playable etc

The ping is not the transfer-rate...
Think of your computer trying to connect to a server...your computer sends a request on the net looking for that server...the ping is the time difference between the moment when the request is sent by your computer and the moment when the server reply to the request...107 does it means 107 ms (milli-seconds)..

hey Jorn, what a start!! an away win in Oslo against Valerenga...but what a match, i saw the highlights on the web-tv...both our and their players were very nervous!!!
So, now let's thrash Lyn

Guys...try to come into the chat around midnight (23:00 UK time) every night...i'll try to come too so if we can play...and Durbs...you're system is not broken, no matches were played since July 3rd...summertime...maybe our hands are on the training camp? ahauahah
nooot...it's seems like auto-erotic training

Yay, Toast has broadband. Quite a narrow broad bandwidth though as I'm only on 150k for the minute. Still, might as well give it a try and see. All I need now is all the shit to do it with. Anyone want to give me a walkthrough?

Sweet :D

1st
Go to http://www.koanet.co.uk --> downloads section and download the WINUAE which comes with KO2 and ROM files

Install and open

then in the ROM tab, hit the ... button and find the kick13.rom file which you will have downloaded

then in floppies, change the dfo to find the kickoff2.adf file

then everything else is fiddling with the settings

when you have done this let us know and I'll talk through what setting I have and we'll have a go at a ame

Cheers
P

Excellent news Toasty.

I would think 150k would be great for a game of KO2.

(or at least a 50% speed game would be spot on)

I would think 100% would be fine after 11pm but try it and see, you will probably ping at around 70-80 depending on the server, but certainly you should be able to play with that.

Also mate, give me a shout and I can create you a FW version of Kailerra KO2 :)

We could have a FW league set up just for us proper players like :)

Let me know, I am a bit rushed at the mo but should be able to set something up.
