koa:.:net Work in progress

Apologies for all the koa:.:net topics but I really want to get as many people involved so posted in the bench instead of online kickoff as no-one goes in there.

I have made this thread for me to post current work in progress on the web league.

This way people who post ideas can see what has been taken on and what has been completed.

Ok, Update for today.

I have improved the league Table, it will now show Games played, Won, drawn and lost. It will show goals for and goals against, points and your current ranking points.

However the results page still only allows win or lose, so there aint mch point to the above....not yet anyway!

Also added Fillipo as a staff member, as the koa:.:net is his idea after all

Been working like mad this afternoon.

Ok then.

You can now post results with scores.
Basically Team A should always post the result.

The league table is running properly.
The result history is working.
Will be adding a few more statistics and a records page soon.

So get posting your results fellas!

GOOD!!
The league is started!!
Today I made a 2 games with Fabio Artuso, and it's just amazing to put so easily our results in the league.
Anyway this is only the beginning tomorrow we've planned 10 games, 5 with team A and 5 with Team B.
Our rules was: Team A decide all the KO settings and Team B decide all the connection settings (the server where to play and frame skip)

The game was played with about 45 ms of ping and it works great and very fast!

Nice one Fillipo, I can see the results are in there.

I will be adding the country table soon, however if two countries play in the same match the result doesn't count on that table.

Let me know of any bugs you get my friend

Also will be getting the message board up and running tomorrow, finished it today but I am getting SQL errors and I can't work out why!

It seems to work very nice!
We need a download page with all the software and images.
Also we need the chat room where meet all the players during the day.
The idea of the national table is great!!
Very nice, I like it all!

Ok Message Board is now live.
Nothing too flash, but should be useful to post a request for a match or any issues with the site if you cant email me direct.

I will be looking into improving the ICQ, MSN and Yahoo icons as well.

I hope you all realise that if you check the user profile of a player his ICQ icon will be lit up if he is online on ICQ, I will expand this to MSN and Yahoo when I work it all out.

I will also be putting the links on the players page so you don't have to go into each players profile.

Oh and the request of Ely I will be making profiles editable.

I may also be removing the UK flags so you can only be England or Wales etc....

Oh and fillipo I will be creating some downloads (either a full zip or individual files) however the UK server that hosts the Amiga version is down at the moment (probably coz of the .ORG fiasco thats going on worldwide at the mo where the owners of the ORG suffix have gone and lost all the Nameserver info!!!)

Also I am just going to work on the Country table as we speak whilst watching baseball

Ok we now have a chat room.

When you first logon to the site the index page will show you if anyone is actually online in the chat room

Its basically a revamped version of phpmychat, I have amended a few things so we can use it as simply as possible.

I will be rewriting a real chat just for us soon, however this should more than do.

You don't need to register, just login using any name you like....

http://www.koanet.co.uk/league and then click on chat on the left hand menu.

Any feedback welcomed.

I am off to do the international league table next and thanks to Mr Swift I now have a formula for doing the rankings for players so will be implementing that probably tonight if I get a chance.

I've just checked out the chat page. Should be great for contacting online KO2 opponents!

I think I'll join the koa:.:net league next week, because I'm too busy this week...

Great!!! It works perfectly, just checked and you can see the player on-line on the news page.
