Sadly the project openkickoff is abandonated by the developers, so there's no need for a discussion board for a game that is not still developed.
The best things is to rename it to Kick Off Kaillera - play kick off over internet.
That could help a lot of people to know how to play an on-line game and gather a lot of that guy over europe that can't attend to the tournaments or even that don't have friends still playing ko.

But why
Why name or have a complete forum for something that isn't possible, playing Kickoff over the net....
If it would be possible in the future, than we could talk about it on the forum of the game, like the Ko2002 forum, if internetplay would be possible than it is better to have a topic in this forum where is can be discussed.
I think with Ko2004 coming up, we should have a forum for this game as soon as possible.

please it's impossible if you don't have a good broadband internet connection.
Very easy if you have fibre, cable and DSL.
Just changed my adsl 2 weeks ago for the best available in Italy (the same as gianluca troiano).
So the results is 9ms of ping to the italian kaillera server that means the possibility to have refresh up to 111.11 frame/sec, and 20ms to english servers (50 f/s max)!
kick off as you know works at 50 f/s and I assure that is fully playable also with 25 f/s!!
So the problem is to gather the few KOA members that have broadband connection!
Anyway you're right this forum have to move into the kick off section and leave the space to kick off 2004.
administrator??

Just rename the forum to the more general "Online KickOff". The name says it all.
Kaillera users can plan games, technical talk can take place about is issues involved with online ko, and maybe even the openkickoff boys will have a home should they return.
