It breaks my heart to say this, but I will most likely not be attending the event if it's held this year. Prices for flights have gone through the roof, and I can't see myself spending a good month's pay-cheque for a weekend in Athens.

Naturally, that means I would opt for this years WC to be called off/postponed till 2021.

Although I have not booked anything yet (which is just normal for me), I had plans to attend and am still hoping to.
Since I've talked about this with Frank, I know he too is planning to attend.

But I can imagine how hard this crisis struck many of us and I will respect any decision the individual members of the KOA and especially the organisers of the wc will take.

But as long as the wc is not postponed or canceled I keep on hoping to see as many of you as possible in november.

Hello there, it's long time since the last time I joined the forum. my bad.
if we were living the usual things in our lives, today many of us were packing their joysticks and some dress, in the excitement of the "one week before Christmas". Probably some of us would be in Athens already to spend some nice holiday and the organisers have the usual jitters to fix the last things.
I cant quantify how much this is sad for me.
Of course there are other questions and this fun part of our live can be considered as superfluous in a moment like this. but, after 17 years of KOA, and 17 years straight having the special long week end with you guys, well, to me is not that superfluous, even if there are many other severe things to care about. For me this is simply a fucking shame.

Wise words Gianni. It would have been my 20th in a row this year and it is a great shame.
Some of us will be having a mini online tournament on the 15th. It's nowhere near the same as an awesome world cup weekend of course but better than nothing for us KO2 addicts needing a fix.
Hopefully normality will resume next November

I wholeheartedly agree with you guys. It feels totally unreal to not be going to Athens for the KO2WC. My calendar still have my stay at the hotel added to next week, simply because I haven't managed to persuade myself to delete it.
I miss you guys, and hope with all my heart we'll get to see each other again asap!!!
