Re: Manchester International 2016 - Gauging Interest
Will ask my pal if he fancies it as well - so possibly me and a plus one.

Ok, let me know the name and while you're talking to your pal, see if you can get him to join the forum. The more the merrier!

Re: Manchester International 2016 - Gauging Interest
Whatever weekend I say will be taken up by December I am sure
As it stands my daughters bday is the 12th, I have my friends dogs staying (yeah I know) the week before that I think (to be confirmed) but Late November would probably be ok, the weekend after the 12th may be ok but may also be a bit near xmas....
To be honest if you arrange based on other people I will do my best to drop in

No problem. Still waiting to see how many people are interested, but I'm not seeing many replies as of yet.

Defo still up for it, itching to play some 'human' opposition!

Yeah, me too, but we do need more names to make this financially viable!

Wonder if it is worth posting on Lemon Amiga or EAB about it?

John; What about giving a number of how many interested you'd need to go forward?

Re: Manchester International 2016 - Gauging Interest
There were 14 at the last one, in Hemel, but I'd need to get prices, as I'm conscious of the fact that the amount we pay is dependent on how many attend. We don't want to pay more than £20 so I'll do some pricing up and come up with a figure.
Re: Manchester International 2016 - Gauging Interest
OK, I've found a venue, in the centre of town, so it's easily accessible, and am looking at booking it for Saturday 10th December. At present we have five attendees and two maybes. I'm going to speak to the events manager at the venue tomorrow, and I'll give it another week or two before booking, so if you do fancy visiting Manchester in December, don't be shy about putting your name down.
Pheonix, that's a kind offer, (posting on Lemon Amiga or EAB) but I can't make that decision... I don't know if there is any history between "us and them" and don't want to do anything to upset the apple cart, so if someone could advise I would be most grateful.

Re: Manchester International 2016 - Gauging Interest
any tourny would interest me, especially one that's not too far away, however, with the world cup only the month before it'd be too hard on the pocket right before xmas i'm afraid, entrance fees, travel, hotel etc, not cheap this old kick off lark
so for me, it's just the timing of it

Re: Manchester International 2016 - Gauging Interest
Fair enough, Lee. Question to everyone. Would it be better, with the world cup a few months before and Christmas a few weeks after, to leave this until next year?
