MILAN WORLD CUP BID 2016

Postby Torchiador » Mon Feb 08, 2016 10:16 pm

PROPOSED DATE: 10/11/12 November 2016

PROPOSED LOCATION: Milan City

The Kick Off House has the pleasure to announce his bid for the 2016 Kick Off 2 World Cup.
This bid is not much different from the one we advanced for Milan 2012, seen that the global format was very well appreciated by all the participants.

LOCATION - VENUE

In this moment I have already green light from the hotel and the 270sqm venue we enjoyed 4 years ago. In my opinion one of the best quality/price rate ever in a Kick Off 2 World Cup. Looking from the organization side, using the same hotel and venue will help a lot in many ways.

We are still screening few hotels although we thing we already have the good one.

COSTS
We estimate the fee should be around 50 Euro . About KOA hotel accommodation costs, In 2012 we reserved rooms for KOA attenders at 85€ per single room and 89€ per double/twin room (45€ per person) and 110€ per triple room (37€ per person) per night including breakfast, fitness room is included and free WIFI coverage. Prices will be in line with it this year.

FLIGHTS

Milan has got 3 airports. Low cost flights to Milano Malpensa, Bergamo Orio al Serio and the closest, Milano Linate that is inside the city. Transfers from Malpensa and Orio al Serio are available by train and bus. Also taxi service is available. Buses and trains well connect the centre, from there is quite simple to reach the KOA hotel/venue.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT AND SETTINGS

They will be defined according with the the KOA World Cup Rule Protocol.

CONCLUSION

Although you have been already here, I do think there is always a good reason to visit Milan once more!

Thanks very much for this bid Gianni. Very professional. It didn't take me long to evaluate it, with the information you provided. I have just one question - is Inventapizza still in business?

I dealt with the Hotel these days. We agreed with a very convenient price for rooms and we have about the same cost for the tournament room.
I asked them to cut down the possibility to use the gym to curb spending, seen that nobody of the KOA used it in 2012 so it was a useless benefit.
This year we would have also two hotel fares:

Fare 1:
Euro 64.00 single room
Euro 68.00 double / twin room (34€ each person per night)
Euro 96.00 triple room (32€ each person per night)
Cost is per night including breakfast and wifi.
This fare is not refundable in case of cancellation.
There will be deadline for this fare

Fare 2
Euro 71.00 single room
Euro 76.00 double / twin room (38€ each person per night)
Euro 107.00 triple room (35€ each person per night)
Cost is per night including breakfast and wifi.
This fare is refundable if cancellation is communicated 24 hours before (presumed) check in.

As you can see from the fares above, considering this is a Best Western 4 stars hotel, I do think we do have a very good price.

We agreed with buffet lunch for both Saturday and Sunday 17€ each day. I'm sure you remember the level of the buffet we had in 2012.
In this way we would have an "all in one" venue/hotel/lunches avoiding wasting of time, letting to prepare a Swiss time table.

These prices are very good. Especially the double/twins.
