Gotek

Found a cheap gotek. Is it usable? Would I need any extra?

I've just fit one to mine, uses the existing floppy cables so you're good to go... bear in mind tho, the cable can fit it both ways, so don't panic if it doesn't work first time, just flip it n try again

you need to cut a bit of the side of the amiga to fit it properly, good old dremel :D

This is a good point, I forgot I had to do this. I just used an exacto knife. There are sellers that will bundle an extension data cable and extension power cable. I strongly recommend this. It is easy to make an extension power cable, but more pain to extend the data cable. If cables are long enough, you can keep the drive on the outside and preserve the chassis.

If you remove the case (of the Gotek) supposedly you can fit the drive like this.
