Welcome Astorri!

Even if you don't win the WC bid, the idea of a summer tournament in Ibiza doesn't sound bad at all! ;)
World Cup 2015 Bronze Cup/Steve Screech Cup Winner

aka "The Kick Off 2 Hustler" and officially the best Portuguese Kick Off player living in Ireland.

Yes, that's the idea. We will have opportunity to meet new people and would spend a good time playing our favorite game. Also we would win experience in organizing such an important event. We hope to be at your level! ;)

The World Cup is usually held in the start of november (sometimes it's been late october). There are many reasons for this.
You, your bid and your interest is most welcome :)

October is not a bad idea but obviously loses some of the characteristic charm of Ibiza. If it is not possible to organize the World Cup, I would like to propose to organize a meeting in the summer, something like a pre-season tournament. We are open to any ideas, just want people to come and visit, enjoy the holiday and have fun playing Kick Off 2. :)

What Andy said! Please, Astorri, do you have a place planned? A name for it? A webpage? What's your hardware-situation? Are you aware of the bugfixes done to the great game? Can you handle 20-40 geeks with joysticks, beerbellies and no dress sense?

Hi Astorri, are you Leo or Luis (or someone else)?
Welcome to the forums, great to hear from you. Jaime from Mallorca may be your closest neighbour, although I don't know everybody here. Hope we get to play some time in 2016!

Thanks for the questions. About the tournament site, I have two choices. The first option is a room of my property of 50 square meters, enough to organize an event for 10 to 12 players but small for such an important World Cup event. I'm waiting for the answer to my request to rent a larger place for the three days of the tournament, I do not think this is difficult to obtain but take time. As for hardware, I am a collector of retro computers. I have available Amiga 500 (four units), A1200, A600, A2000, CD32, Minimig and Mist FPGA and probably some more computer you can buy for the occasion. A total of 10 computers and 6 CRT monitors and other LCD screens with tables and Joystics (but I recommend that everyone bring their favorite control). I really think that is probably not enough but it's what I have currently available. I need your opinion on this. Thank you
