I have in mind at a future date to do some updates to the original games. I am able to rebuild Kick Off 2 from the source code already.
Perhaps you might want to post your desires here.

Player manager with complete ko2 engine would be a dream!
about 50% harder to lob but not total like FW would be awesome
tactic creator in ko2 would also be ace

Wow, that is the news of the century. Do you mean an Amiga or a PC version, Dino? I would obviously be glad to pay a lot for either.
KO2 / PM hybrid would be my wish, with an enhanced managing section.

This is awesome! The PM+KO2 combo is probably the thing I have been requested to create the most I was going to get round to it eventually, but by using the slow hacky way. Using the original source code will be 100 times quicker.

Also if we are talking minor changes to the original game then can R.Shaw please be promoted to the International squad ffs! Seriously I love that guy, he will have to be an
Un-picked squad player by default to preserve the real teams obviously.
Im thinking of things that wont alter the gameplay as such, as the gameplay is worth its weight in gold.
So how about -
A way to rewind a game to a certain point.
Two subs before the kick off!!!
Would also love some way of making the keeer rush out when cox falls asleep!!

Lee, in relation to your request about making the keepers harder to beat, if we're talking Player Manager then if you're in a top league with a top goalkeeper than yes, it should be difficult but if you're in lower leagues then it would be easier as the goal keeper is poor.
This is unbelievable news Dino:
Player Manager
- Full Kick Off 2 engine
- Proper kits for each team
- Random pitches determined by time of year
- Different stadium designs (Gianni??? your time is now!!)
- names from the KOA being implemented as players into the Player Manager Database
- More than one cup competition?

Re: The Amiga Kick Off 2 / Player Manager wish list
Yay!
A feature I wish I had would be a 10 second gameplay rewind feature. That is, save the game state once per second in a 10 second ringbuffer, and allocate a key to skip backwards one second at a time. This is an awesome practice tool. I can kind of do this with WinUAE, but I have to press a button, and I often don't know that I want to rewind until after the fact.
