thanks Gianni.

Ahh I came 28th out of 38. Somehow I am still the best Irish player!
Nice to see the best "newbie" Lee so highly ranked. Also congrats to the other newbies who ranked higher than me
26) Charley D
27) Tomasz A

Danny, all those new players were there thanks to your amazing job promoting the world cup, all of them REALLY enjoyed the atmosphere there, and I'm almost sure we will see them again sooner or later.
Every world cup we gain at least one or two new players that became regular. For example Michiele is one of those (regular after 2012), just to make an example. maybe we will have more than one this year! In particular because Dublin is the capital of low cost flights so I expect they could reach every place from there! and of course, because it seemed to me they all had great fun!

Thanks for the results!

I have been looking with special interest at those of the best spanish player of the tournament, Jaume P. We only have day 1 yet, but I can see that he had very close defeats against the middle class players of the group, and among those, two were the very experienced Jorn, and the Silver Cup Champion Lee (by the way, congratulations, mate!). So I believe that he is at the right way for better places in the future, as long as he scores a little more.

If I may give a little advice, forget about the big monsters, the will beat you no matter how, take revenge on the very bad ones, enjoy good fights against the players of your level, and above all, enjoy the social aspect.

Keep on coming, Jaume, and let's hope we will meet next year!

I can confirm your impression Rodolfo. It might sound absurd but despite beating him 12-0 in my opinion Jaume was the strongest of the new players I faced at this world cup. In our game I had a lucky early goal but then the game was stuck at 1-0 for the next minutes and that was not because I failed to score. He showed a decent defensive performance by covering my forwards, winning a few headers and banging the ball out of his side of the pitch. It was only in the second half when he suddenly gave in and the goals for me were just coming and coming.

Ok, the joke is over, thanks Alkis to fall in with the joke. Anyway I really hope you will find the right motivations to keep us up to date. even if it would be just for me, you should do it! the point is that it isn't just only for me and you know it.

Main post up to date with all results and standing.

Congratulation again to Andy, our new World Champion and congratulation to everyone who joined this amazing world cup!!!

I spotted a couple of interesting stats, sure that Alkis noticed too.
It is the first time ever that a player, ending up 4th in the second stage world cup groups (4W 0D 3L 12PTS), claims the Holy Shield then. Usually the match 1vs4 quarter final is easily won by 1 but this time Andy reverted this rule beating Fabio in extra time.
Something similar happened for the SIlver cup too as the 3rd places of the silver cup groups challenged for the Silver cup final.
As said already Oliver is the first German ever getting a medal.

Every world cup has got his own surprise!

Most interesting stat of all:

Every time a portuguese participates in a World Cup, he leaves with a trophy!

World Cup 2015 Bronze Cup/Steve Screech Cup Winner

aka "The Kick Off 2 Hustler" and officially the best Portuguese Kick Off player living in Ireland.
