An update from the front.

It appears a cold font has descended upon Bournemouth, it's getting dark and wet. This won't break the morale of the brave ko2 warriors who are assembling as we speak.

UPDATE:

Robert Swift has cancelled. I believe his world record of attending every UKC is now in shatters :)

It was great to meet everyone, some new faces , some old. Special mention goes to Andy for organising everything!

The Uk Championship consisted of 15 games per player, 6 players in total. Andy was leading from the start , a sign of things to come.

My performance was very much a tale of two joysticks. I suspected an issue with the UAE emaulator I had been using for practice. I found it very difficult to use any diagonal direction. True enough, after 5 games I asked Andy who confirmed that the Konix Speedking was well and truly knackered.

Luckily I had brought along joystick B, a competition pro. Unfortunately I had never used this stick before and found it impossible to use. I borrowed Ian's "loose" zipstick but that was of no benefit either.

I then reverted back to the Konix speedking minus diagonal moves. The Speedking's stick promptly disintegrated in my hands !

Thankfully I was able to operate the Greek Stick that Steve loaned me and continued my runtiness with gusto !

Andy is the UK Championship 2015 winner !

The fixture generated results file is here

All hail Durban winner the of the Golden goal cup !

Great report Danny, thanks for making the trip to join our humble gathering :)

You played very well considering your joystick issues and lack of practice. I think we had a very tense game that ended 1-0. Could you post the results file listing all the matches?

HUGE thanks go to Andy for organising and congrats on a typically flawless performance.

Great to see Ely, Ian and Durban again. Apologies go to Durban for suffering death by lob.
