My long road back was: Konix speedKing adaptor query

Postby Danny D » Sun Dec 14, 2014 9:30 pm

Today was a contrasting day. I lost out on the "all in one solution" of 2 comp pros + usb adapter. I didn't receive notifications that I had been outbid as I had notifications turned off :(

This loss has a silver lining. I then redoubled my focus and am now the proud owner of a super rare blue transparent Competition Pro Star EXTRA! I kid you not, this is the joysticks title! This will be shipped from Germany tomorrow and will be in my possession for Christmas. This pleasure machine has a beautiful thick chrome shaft that offers hours of endless joy! Add in the total of 4 fire buttons and I'll be unstoppable!

Observe the rubber pads, all four!

So next I need an amiga to usb adapter that ships from the UK. I need to get going before Christmas starts !

:)
Looking at the photos and comparing the size of the 9 pin adapter and the joystick , did I just by a Competition Pro mini?

Photos can be deceptive, but it doesnt look like a mini to me.

I see this has a spring inside instead of the more classic rubber ring. They tend to be looser and louder, if that's your thing!
Not sure what you want to do with all those buttons. I think one button may be slowmo. Anyway.. any game which needs more than one joystick button is full of fail.

The loudness of this super rare blue competition Pro Elite will scare my opponents. The looseness will allow my players to excel in the penalty box !

I went ahead and took Steve's recommendation and have bought one of these:

I want this before Christmas and thus paid a hefty premium to a UK seller.
