This years UKC will be held in Oldbury Holiday Inn Express on Sunday 3rd August 2014

Location : Birmingham Oldbury, Holiday Inn Express (B69 2BD) - Just off J2 of the M5
Room Rate : £49.50 Per Room (Sat night)
Tournament Fee : Currently £18 for Sunday Only (Saturday TBC)
Other Info : See http://ko-gathering.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=17168
Dress Code : Smart/Casual

Updated 29.05 : the UK Championships will take place from 11:00am on Sunday, dependant on total numbers.

There is still the opportunity, should interest decided, for an event on Saturday Evening also, please let me know if you wish this to take place.

Tournament Price is broken down as follows : -

Room Hire (1 day) : £140
Cups : £25
KOA Funding : - £20 (taken from the yearly KOA payment budget)

Total Cost :£165

Therefore expected cost per participant is as follows :

6 entrants : £25
8 entrants : £18
10 entrants : £15
10+ entrants : £14

Obviously there is a McDonalds over the road, a pub next door, and the Bar does snacks and meals at reasonable prices (including a selection of sandwiches/pasties from the fridge). There will NOT be food served as part of the Package, you will be expected to feed yourselves.

There is plenty of accomodation available from £49 (Increased from original 37 per night) per night in the hotel (which is the price for Double/single/Twin room, so you can share for 25each and this will include a complimentary continental breakfast)

Please confirm if you can make this event asap, the more interest we get now the more people will consider coming later on - you all know the score.

Please also confirm if you would like a Saturday event, if we get enough interest this will happen.

Therefore reply as follows :

NAME : Mark Williams
2 Day Preference : Yes

Current Confirmation

(* = Available both Sat and Sunday - ie. Staying in hotel)

1) Mark W (Sat and Sunday)
2) Andy G (Sat and Sunday)
3) Steve C (Sat and Sunday)
4) Mark E (Sat and Sunday) (yes really!)

Is it a tournament open to foreigners or not?
Is there any room for an old fat ex world champion? I could consider to make a trip in UK even without joystick, just to make a week end with kick off friends. it's long time I don't stand in UK, my English has got a bit rusty...

I don't think that the British passport will be necessary, I can show the UKC 2007 Trophy at the Birmingham airport! I became English there! As I am Greek, German... ah, yes, Italian too!
