sorry I forgot a NOT in my last post: the Amiga stations were NOT precisely IQSF!
about the interracial final, unluckily the SS player couldn't attend the RetroAcademy so he didn't join the tournament too.
those Sensible Soccer players are very "amatorial"!

Yes, we found them on ebay
Re: RetroAcademy Kick Off Tournament 3 May 2014
The Suncom sticks are relatively easy to get in the States, but hard to find in Europe. (And generally much more expensive too.) I got some of them (Slik Stiks and Tac-2) from an American friend but am physically unable to hit the diagonals with those. Stylish little joysticks though

What is it that wears out, Gianni? They don't have microswitches and feature this rubber tube to center. I thought they were indestructable?

Re: RetroAcademy Kick Off Tournament 3 May 2014
the "return to centre" rubber can damaged due to bad storage (ceiling) very hot in summer and very cold in winter. so some SS have the rubber very ruined and the return to the centre is even guaranteed. basically you have a stick that goes were he wants. like there isn't rubber.
the pipe inside the joystick is made in soft iron and it can be bent and broken quite easily. if you would use the same power as you use normally to handle a Competition Pro Joystick, you would break the SS.
At the end of the pipe there is a chromed copper ball. wear and tear is severe here, as it the chromed copper ball that close the pull down circuit inside the joystick. so, if there isn't enough gear lubricant, the ball is damaged and the movements of the joystick are stuttered.
Practically speaking, it is a very delicate joystick that requires much maintenance. as far as the Suncom Tac 2.
