14th Kick Off 2 WC - Copenhagen, Denmark, November 1-2, 2014

Postby Freshmaker » Tue Feb 11, 2014 7:13 pm

Hi guys. As you may have noticed; the 14th KO2WC will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, the first weekend of november 2014.

--------------

Registration page: Click here

--------------
HOTEL:
31. october – 3. november 2014

Single - DKK 695,00
Double/twin - DKK 895,00

Pr room, pr night incl. breakfast.

Contact me with your details, and I'll have you booked.
I need your name, what kind of room you want, your email-adresse and your arrival and departure-date.
You can try to reserve using BLOK KODE 33951 by mail to: booking@hotelosterport.dk, but this doesn't seem to work very well.
------------

THE VENUE:

The venue is NOT at the hotel. There is a 6 minute train-ride from the hotel to the venue. The hotel is at a train-station, and the venue is a 3 minute walk from the other train-station. The trains go every 12 minutes.
I've chosen this option to keep the costs down, as it would cost each contender around € 200 to attend the WC with the hotel and the venue in the same building (this is in Copenhagen, remember that...). Doing it this way, we get the venue for close to nothing.
This is a link to The Venue
It's about 150 m2, and it has a kitchen at about 20m2. The kitchen is fully equipped, also with big fridges. In the same building, there's a Lidl. I'm gonna check some local restaurants as we get closer in time.

-----------------

I'll also come back with a list of flight-tips; but before I do that - From what places will people be flying in? I know there will come travellers from Milan, Athens, London and Jerez. But if you want me to dig up smart ways of getting here, let me know.

Inventory: I'm gonna need help about machinery, as I don't have any :) I'm firstly looking for german, danish, swedish and norwegian assistance here. But anyone wanna help, give me a shout.

I will talk about this with Freddy and Cornelius in the next days. In case they want to attend and agree to share the costs for a car ride then we could bring 2 complete systems to Copenhagen. I most likely would not make this ride on my own. In this case I would prefer to go by plane and could not bring any equipment.

I have no amiga to bring but I would suggest uk people will fly from london or manchester (me and steve will be the latter) it may be worth adding in birmingham to tempt the bham boys back into overseas action.

Im not sure who i´ll be travelling with, hopefully and likely not alone. I intend to travel by car and even if several of my amigas have broken down i should be able to deliver two systems.

Btw, and somewhat of topic, is there any common error on these amigas that stops working? Would be interesting to know - sorting out if there is any point trying to open them up.

Yes, capacitors leakage is a pretty common cause.
Remember, remember, the 4th and the 3rd of November

great news John! Bring amigas and players. You don't have to bring beer though, we've got plenty :)
