Sorry fellas but the 10/11 is the one weekend in August I can't do (taking family away for a short break). I'm still up for all other weekends in August as I am for all other weekends in July though.

10th of August would fit. Saturday would be really nice, cause on Sunday the last flight back home is 18'25.
31th of August would also fit. The dates between it's a 50:50 cause there some demo parties with some Atari friends.

Whilst Mark's been in Africa I have been quadruple checking the dates with everyone on FB. It's been a nightmare but in reality it's only taken 2 nights. The long and short of it is that it seems everyone can make the 4th (everyone who's English anyway...sorry Thorsten, Germany enjoyed Wembley a bit too much the other week, so teaching us a lesson in our own backyard will have to wait hehe - athough, if you want to go to a RCM then maybe we can arrange something another time with you and Frank? Anyway I digress...).
Some were a bit wobbly on some dates, and some outright said certain dates were no good. But no-one said they can't make the 4th.

Thankfully Mark and Andy have been superb in letting me do a bit of chasing as well and it's revealed that the 4th accommodates everyone. As Andy said, having the tournament in the Midlands was to get the participation of myself, Gaz and Si plus possible JonG, but with us not able to make the original date (we've all been monumentally busy and not had time to really digest anything on the forum (that's if we've visited). So with us unable to attend and with everyone able to make an alternative date, thankfully we can all attend a UK Champs again.

I know Mark's doing the organising of the Hotel and so I've asked him if he wants me to alter the date with them in his absence.
Andy, maybe it might be best changing the date on this thread and cleaning it up a bit? If it's any help, Gaz could use his mod powers to delete some posts that might confuse people.

Either way I can't wait for this! There's been a real 'can do' dunkirk spirit about this UK Champs and I've really enjoyed how everyone has come together again:) Cya on the 4th of August folks

Can I check on rules please guys?
I'm assuming Division 1 v Division 1, no wind, normal pitch, we can replace 424/433/442/532 with Blitz/Falcon/Balanced/Lockout before the game, and change tactics any time during the game, and bring on the two subs when we like.
What about changing the players when the squad is listed - is that forbidden, discouraged, or absolutely fine? Not a big issue for me, but I do like to have an attacker and a defender as subs instead of two attackers.
I'm getting to grips with Penalty Box Dribble so I assume we have that if we are using Amiga emulators on PCs, instead of old Amigas.
How about autoslides and unintended slides?

To answer.

1) We use International teams, not division 1 (my own mistake when I started as well, no more R.Shaw)

2) We dont use PC's we use real Amigas.

3) you cannot change the lineup before a match at all. You start with the same 13 players as everyone else but can make 2 subs at any time during the game (but we all have the same 2 subs). This just keeps things standard, and speeds up time between games, its long been discussed and whilst picking teams is part of the fun it doesnt work in a competition setting sadly.

3) you can turn autoslides on and off, and also pbd. Depending on the tournament rules there may also be an option for trapfix to be enabled (trapfix is unintentional sliding or kicking the ball whn you want to trap unintentionally)

All the other rules i think you have right. Normal pitch, random ref, no wind, 2x5 min half etc. no extra time in the league format as well obviously.

Oh tactics.

You cannot change the 4 default tactics before the match but you can use them in the game (1-4 is standard tactics on keyboard/pad and 5-8 brings in falcon etc)

Pain as it may be can we all please reconfirm we are happy with the date and whether we are attending Sat and Sunday or Just sunday.

Can we also chase up those who said they can NOW attend on this date so we can get confirmations asap.

Just for info Its my dads 70th birthday this weekend AND i am giving up my tickets to the Ashes Test at old trafford on the Sat and Sun so I can attend AND my daughter has a gymnastics competition which I am going to be missing....but I am confirmed!
