What would you say is the greatest KOA game ever in the WC?
Personally I recall fondly Gianni Vs Spyros (both Legs if that counts) in Austria?
Are there any better games?
I guess you could call it a great game if one player destroyed the other, or if it was a really close mate (I have gone for the latter)
I think one of the best games I have seen in terms of pure skill was Andy vs Dagh in the UK Champs this year, although that's not WC so not included, think it ended 9-7 but could have easily been 14-14!

Re: Greatest KO2WC game ever
Gianluca vs Martin Beard. Why? Because it was the triumph of strategy adjustment in your game (Gianluca) to the opponent's game(Martin). Most of the other matches, no matter of the score and fascinating goals, it is mainly two players playing their game in arcad-ish/routine/good defending style of game. The two matches between Gianluca and Martin, were pure football strategy simulator, close to what we were doing with PM with the difference of using the in built tactics.

When was that mate? Groningen?!

Re: Greatest KO2WC game ever
I believe that the best match I have ever seen in terms of skills was the first final between Dagh and Gianni in the first leg of the 2008 final (6-4).
But I have to agree with Nikos as far as my favorite one goes, it was Gianluca Vs Martin Jeffrey, indeed in Groningen.
A total clash of styles, an extremely tactical matchup and the closest final ever, decided on the last shot!
But Mark has a point too, Gianni versus Spyros was extremely close and skillful as well.

One of my most enjoyed moments was Nikos vs Camber in Milan 2004. Two lobbers, lobbing the hell out of each other. I remember I was totally left in awe.

Alkis, i think Nikos is talking about my game vs Martin Beard (not Jeffrey). I lost the first leg by 3 goals while in the 2nd leg i switched to 433 and managed to win on aggregate score

You are right!
Re: Greatest KO2WC game ever
I very much like the 2011 silver cup final between Jörg and Jorn, a shame it couldn't be projected to the big screen. It doesn't reach the same level of skill as the gold cup games but it's an incredibly tense game including some nice swearing I'm also quite impressed by Jörgs free style pbd finishing as well as Jorns defending skills, a good example of two different styles on a similar overall level.
My favourite games that I could see live were probably the ones between Gianni and Spyros in Voitsberg. In fact I think it was these games that wanted me to develop a deeper understanding for KO2

Both legs of Gianluca V Dagh.
A clash of technique, skills, tactics and intelligence that evolved and adapted throughout the 2 legs. Both Dagh and Gianluca amazed me with their decision making skills and intelligence under pressure, true champions.
Loved watching these games.
