Maybe everyone seeking acceptance should do their own video too........

Lets fill the world with videos asking what we should be in life......

I agree with Steve on this ;)

Obviously Dino would like to do both. The problem is if no-one signs the petition he can only do one, be a musician.

If Dino is motivated to code KO2 / Player Manager / Goal for mobile devices / PS9 / XBOX1024 ... then he will do it.

If he isn't motivated, then signatures on a petition or money from Kickstarter, are not going to solve that.

Well the motivation would be that people want it. He doesn't know people want it if no-one signs the petition.

Realistically speaking, to fund a game like Player Manager or Kick Off would require about 3,000 people to pledge an average of $20. If we can't even get that many people to sign a petition that has no cost, then there really is no market for a classic football game.

erm....

There is no market for a classic football game, really? I better rename the site to something else then I guess.....

Seriously tho 3000 people giving 20 euros/dollars is a BIG ask in this day and age....bearing in mind there is no guarantee of getting anything in return....

Yep, absolutely huge ask, there's no way people would pledge $3.4m for an old school classic adventure game, or $2m for an old school classic RPG, or $550K for a remake of an old school point and click game...

You say there is a market for a classic football game, proven by your site, well, fund one from the thousands of dollars you are making from this site then.

In lost here completely.

There is appetite for retro games, we carry on meeting up worldwide to support this sort of thing, we fully support members of the site like Gianluca and Menace who are coding and releasing retro games....what we do is decide to give 20 dollars each to a project that Dino has no intention, perhaps even no knowledge, of being involved in.

You forget, or perhaps do not realise, that most of us here know Dino and Steve and have done for many years.

I have no issues with you asking for support to get a project off the ground but having been here over 12 years now we have seen this over and over again.

Dino has mentioned many projects but sadly hasnt finished them....Steve also started a few and got our full support and completed it.

Not sure welhere you get the
Idea that somehow these forums make thousands of dollars a year....wish they did buy its the opposite I am afraid.

Well, to set the record straight, Steve didn't exactly finish what he started. He did finish KO2002 but KO2004, which was mostly KOA-supported iirf, never moved away from the beta state. And it was a shame tbh!

I never realised that you make so much money from the KOA mark. Shame on you!

Well you said this site proves that there is a market, so obviously the site must be making thousands of dollars, or else there really isn't a market for classic football games.

I am sure Dino and Steve appreciated what has been done, but as things stand right now there is no market because for there to be a market requires 3000 people able to pledge $20 each. That's really not asking much, considering other classic games that have been able to raise millions of dollars.

DJA, dude... Either you're just silly, or you're trying to pull someones leg here.

For sure, Dino KNOWS that if he need support for a footygame, all he has to do is look here.

Mocking Mark, as host of our site, so therefore mocking us, just makes u loose. Simply due to what Alkis says. If Dino wants action, he needs only come here. For us to sign petitions; we've done that. Loads of them...
