Which took me way longer than expected, but finally I've got one:

Tried it with some games against the CPU, I think it makes my movements a little slower but adds a dash to precision. Overall quite easy to build and not that expensive, after some test games against human opposition I'll decide whether I keep it or not...

Impressive work, Michael. That case looks very robust too. Drop that and your only worry is for your toe!

Thanks Garry! I remember Gianni was using black DB9 extension cables on his A1200 at the WC in Voitsberg to protect the ports. Would be much prettier than the fat grey ones I have - any idea where he got these cables from?

Is this the kind of thing we're talking about?

Michael, try ebay. I found one at tradera, similiar site, I would suggest the cable is about 1,5 meter. Good luck!

Since my modified arcarde stick does not perform as intended (not fast/smooth enough) the idea of a completely self built stick came back to my mind (bored? - maybe...). I'm thinking of a cms-related stick, but better components/quality, easy to exchange and longlasting. Spent some time looking around for proper microswitches - there are so many different models - it left me a little helpless.
I wonder if anyone of you has experience with things like that? I'd also like to know what types of microswitches were used in the old Tomahawk/PacMan/CMS Super 8 sticks as they seem to last forever?!

thx,
mike
