Just bought one. Looks promising but i would never hope it would be that easy or cheap!

There should be one of these next to every Amiga on the WC. People bring their laptops and we have every single match on our drive!!!

Not that I disagree, but the important thing is to record the big screen matches and as you remember from the Athens world cup when we tried it the recording caused serious delays in the projected image so we had to stop it.

Yes, you have to project the live image from the amiga, not the processed (delayed) image from the pc.

I'm not saying I doubt you Steve, but I've been inquiring about what you describe since 2002 (a game that is simultaneously recorded and projected, both image and sound) in the KOA and the answer (from several people) is always that it is the easiest thing in the world. However, I've never seen it implemented, and not for lack of trying. So I'll believe it when I see it.

For the big games then the projector is still the way to go IMHO. But when people host tournaments in their homes there wasnt any real way to quickly record the games...until now! Well actually its not all that new is it but you get my meaning!

Next time i host a 2 Amiga tournament Im going to get every game recorded!

I would have got this sorted years ago, but never had a laptop until this year, and there was no way I would be taking my PC tower to tourneys!
I'm sure we can make this a regular feature now though. I'm sure there are little media players that can record video - they would be more practical than a whole laptop and it would be a case of connect your joystick, connect your media recorder and play!

A quick search and this is the sort of thing I'm talking about! Never seen one in action, but this looks great.

This one includes a screen, nice instant playback I guess!

Why not use Gamecam to record the games(if played through a laptop or pc)?

Its easy to use and you can compress your files once they are recorded then upload via Youtube.

I can investigate if ye wish and try and get a game posted up for ye.
