Most pricey 18 year old ever?

So here I was, doing my usual Resign -> Reload -> Transfers routine, looking for a good player to buy, and look who I ran into:





This is my 25th season and I've never had such an expensive player, not even at 22-23, much less at 18! The most expensive one I had before him cost 1607K when he was 22 years old. I'm curious as to how high he can go.

Mind you.. you play as a team, so you won`t see any benefit really..

I wouldn`t mind activating a player to become a player manager.. because that could happen in true life.
But I can`t remember where it was in the code to make a player controllable..

In all my years of disk crunching, I think that's probably the highest I have seen. Maybe James Lockerbie got higher; he was a more obsessional searcher than me. I remember in one season he REJECTED 100 million pound players before choosing the one to buy. I will ask James when I see him in around 12 days' time.

I think I have hit 1500k+ myself before but can't be sure.

Nope, real Amiga with the game installed on my hard disk. I only use WinUAE to take screenshots and videos.

I use them to play Return to Europe too.

That's one hell of a player but it's been so long since I played PM to truly appreciate his greatness in terms of his price, I am going to start a new PM game again soon and get back into building me a new KO2 side to play against my mate who is at the very same level as me in terms of skill and his love for this game. I remember back in the day he used to be the master of finding the 200 speed 200 stamina players for just 1k.

Reading through some of the threads around here makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
