New features

- Formation keys stretch from 1-8 now. No more messing with shift keys for extra tactics.
- However, A600 users must use right shift for Team B formation selection.
- Extra options on the team screen:
AutoFix? - Select Yes to disable auto slides and auto headers by your teammates
PBD? - Select Yes to enable PBD mode
TrapFix? - Select Yes to stop traps turning into slides

Only to get this into my head for the next WC:
-every player can play what he likes now, without two players agreement? :gban:
so there are no extra stations needed if you want to play slides bugs on/off

Sorry i asked, sounds only sooooo fantastic!

Correct, everybody can now always play with their favourite control settings. :D

Thanks Steve, it's very much appreciated.
However i am not sure if i should like it or not.
Of course i don't mean the freedom of choice that is provided but the implementation of it.
I am a fan of slide fixes etc but i prefer it to be an option we decide beforehand rather than something each decides for himself. The trap fix is something that effects not only your gameplay but the way your opponent defends as well. I know that PBD probably was considered something like that when it was made optional for each player but it's not the same, in my opinion.
And now that i mentioned it, can't you toggle the PBD during the game any more? One could like changing or even using a different setting for different attacking styles.
I am sorry if i sound too much of a nag but this is not my intention, nor do i want to seem ungrateful. I just want to point out some things i think should be considered.
Moreover there are too many things to do before starting each game. I want to start as soon as possible and 2 more button pushes are just too much of a frustration to bear (-:

Well said Kostas!
I have the same feelings about, but my skills and knowing in the slide ban version is to poor to give a quality answer.

Maybe when there a two matches, both player can agree on Team A select the settings, so each have one match with his favourite settings.

I know it's partly my fault as I didn't beta test the two last versions of this beta that Steve sent me, but I kind of agree on this one. The three options that need to be selected before every single game seem a little cumbersome. It would take a lot of explaining in a large tournament. Ideally, I would like these additional options to be... well, optional. I mean, would it be possible to add a couple of more options in the KO2CV Options screen, something like:

AutoFix Manual Selection
TrapFix Manual Selection

With these options off by default, the team selection screen will be like in KO2CV1.03. If you turn them on, it will be like KO2CV1.04. I think this would be the best solution because forcing this selection in the beginning of every game for the off chance that some weird people in the future will want to play a mixed game doesn't seem right to me. In fact, I can't think of anyone who would want his players to slide and not his opponent's.

What do you think, Steve? Can it be done?

I've never met anyone who changed his PDB control mid-game on purpose, in fact I believe it was more of a problem because it was too easy to press 5 by mistake. I think losing that feature in favor of the one-press tactics is a step forward.
