Sorry guys, my 2.5 yr old daughter has this afternoon been diagnosed with Swine flu (I actually think the diagnosis is bullshit but what can I do) and I am on my way to the hospital with a secret code to pick up the Tami Flu Vaccine.

Thus it would probably not be adviseable for me to either leave my daughter at this time, nor to potentially give you all Swine flu on Saturday.

Thus I will have to pull out of the event. Please let me know the best way to send you my £10 attendance fee, as its only fair I still pay.

Sorry :(

Gutted mate. :( You were the first to confirm and support this event right from the start and Me and Ste always appreciated that, and I was all set to thank you in person on saturday. That said, I completely understand. Don't worry about the fee. We'll divide the costs by the number of players on the day. As it happened the costs have increased very slightly as we've got more trophies now - I'm about to send an email around to everyone now.

Hope your daughter feels better soon of course.

No worries mate. It won't be as good without ya but you have perfectly understandable reasons...of that there is no doubt. Best wishes to your daughter mate and take care.

Sorry :(

She will be fine, my major issue is that whilst she seems to have quite a lot of 'swine flu' symptoms, I am just concerned incase she has a legitimate 'other' virus which means she won't actually get diagnosed and in addition to this has to endure a Tami flu episode!

On the flip side you can argue at least she won't get swine flu if she hasn't already had it of course.

I will still try and come down for a couple of hours on Sat if she isn't too bad (this morning after 2 doses out of her 10 tami flu tablets she still seems 'ok' even tho her temp is too close to 40 to be good!)

Sorry :(

Glad your daughter seems alright although high temperatures are rough :(

Just a thought about your possible coming down - but no expectation whatsoever mate. If you could be here for 1pm you could still join in when the fun cup starts! We could put you in the draw at 11am (when things kick off) and if you don't make it, then whoever you were drawn against gets a bye. Everyone wins! As I say no pressure but KOA greats such a Durban deserve accomodating! :)

to be honest Garry mate, whilst I appreciate the sentiment I very much doubt I would be taking part in any games, just visiting to say hi!

Which brings me to a question....if you are having 2 cup competitions for people in the top and bottom half of the league then how can you have a cup draw at 11am before you know what position everyone is in in the league?!?!?!

Good question. With 16 players it would surely be simple enough to put everyone into a single draw.

Okay, Mark - perfectly understand. The choice is there if you want it, and remember each fun cup starts at the QF stage, so there's just a maximum of three games.

I thought you guys would know the answer to this question too. :P I'll be ordering players according to their rank in advance of the UKCs and the top half enter the gold cup, the lower half the silver cup. We could have had a single, larger cup but having a separate silver cup provides more evenly matched games and a chance of glory for those that are never gonna win the title or a single cup competition.
