Probably something you've all noticed, but it struck me as I was playing earlier today that Fisher only dives horizontally. I've never seen him do neither a diagonal nor a vertical dive.

"Keeping things simple" I guess. Restrict him to think one or two dimensionally and the maths stays manageable.

Also there are no goalie sprites for jumping diagonal. There's only a limited amount of memory available of course.
