Hertford 8th October (VIII I think). Very runty A>B !!!!
Had a gathering tonight with Stainy, Haydn and Wainy coming along for the ride but this very nearly turned out to be a non-event.
Stainy and Waynie had the important task of bringing TV's and Amigas, which went as planned. Unfortunately they didn't bother to bring a CV disc with them! I thought I might have an old one lying around but after much searching I did not discover one. I did however find an original KO2 disc of version 1.4e. So instead of giving up, we played the game as Dino released it . Robert was invited to this small gathering but couldn't make it. This was probably just as well as I can only imagine the scene when he discovered that PBD would be impossible!
Here's the table and results. Most interesting tonight was Waynie, who, in SId's absence, took on the important task of throwing away victory by losing his last 3 games. It was still very close though, if he'd won his second last fixture he would have been back on top.
Don't forget when looking at these results that they are all with A>B.

Why should Steve spend time doing all those cool features for you not to even bother having the disk?
I'm more impressed by Haydn's return to action after 8 months of inactivity.

It was good to be playing Haydn again and even better to be beating him nicely . Couldn't persuade him to come to Athens though .
Also, just been playing around with the fixture software as I'm fed up of seeing hard to read fixture lists published, so I was doing a more forum friendly save file. However, we don't seem to be able to use html, which is a bit knobby and BBcode seems very limited. The best I could think of was to use the Code tags as exampled below and this is in fact what is recommended for fixed format text when clicking on the BBcode link that appears when editing a post. Sadly you can't see the whole list without scrolling.
Any better ideas?

Strange turn of events whereby none of us brought one.. Bob did have one.. but he had a clear out recently and couldn`t put his hands on it!

Hmm... looks better on the forum for sure, but I guess it would be more of a hassle for Alkis to import it in the db.

Now that's what I call retro-gaming!
Sounds like you clocked up your second title in a week, Mark, that was 'handed' to you! Keep that trend up and who knows what could happen in Athens!!!! Good to see Stainy chalk up some victories this week and great to see Hadyn back in action!

It's an as well as feature, not an instead of. Comma seperated will always remain for Alkis.Abyss wrote:Hmm... looks better on the forum for sure, but I guess it would be more of a hassle for Alkis to import it in the db.

I would have quite enjoyed this trip down memory lane. I seemed to do better in the days of A>B. And you should remember I went for 6 months without using PBD to try and improve my game. No, it didn't work.

No hassle at all, in fact I love the way it looks! Come on then Mark, let's have the new version.

No KO2CV???! Runty!! I'm sure Haydn would have loved the chance of some autoslide-free games too.
Well at least it was 1.4e and not Oracle

Yep, you were right, Mark - it was Hertford VIII. Remember, if in doubt, KOASI always has the answers!

Doesn't that take some effort on my part though?
