Appreciate the offers so far but we need more. I suggest we'd need sufficient equipment for 8 stations (i.e 9 amigas and 9 screens which includes a spare). This sound about right, do you think ?
So far we've got ...
9 amigas
9 scarts
8 screens
2 extensions leads
We also need a lap-top, ideally with leads so that it can plug into the overhead projector too!!!!
Steve E has an old laptop but it is prone to go awol, even after checking the battery ffs. Very risky for the UKCs!
PLEASE POST ASAP....

Garry.....result entry is concerning me.
Have you secured a laptop yet, with the BB fixture software?

What Robert said. The laptop is vital!

If we dont get a Laptop then I have one (albiet with a 800x600 resolution) with the BB fixture software. Iv done many a tournament with it...only one time did it pack in but if that did happen, we have Durban who's the best 'take out the battery and put it back in' guy there is.
Although it would be preferable if we got a better one

A frequent save and a paper backup would be ok with the dodgy laptop, although not ideal. Anyone got a free laptop? Preferably waterproof?

It was your silly laptop resolution that prompted the compact view option, so that'll be fine.Steve1977 wrote:If we dont get a Laptop then I have one (albiet with a 800x600 resolution) with the BB fixture software. Iv done many a tournament with it...

Reminds me that I should write the autosave function soon. Regular saves FTW!

Re: UKC '08 HARDWARE PLEA!!!!
Right, I've put in an autosave mode.
You have to enter a league name in the setup and it saves to a sequentially numbered file after every result that is entered, the save name starts with the league name. For example, if your league is called "UKC 2008", the first is called "UKC 2008_1.koa", the next "UKC 2008_2.koa", etc.
You'll get loads of saves but they're small and I thought it's better to go for paranoia if there's a doubt about the laptop and people remembering to save!
Garry, if you want it for Sunday, let me know.

Oh, I also suggest you give it a bit of a proper test before using it in any major competitions!!
That's my arse covered.
