Good goal Noodles, odd one. I struggle scoring this goal during practice. I blame the joystick ;)

Alex B. scored one identical as the one on your clip (im quite sure the chip also came from the left) against me in Tromso two years ago, I think he had learned the fram Alkis, not 100% sure about that though.

Interesting that you found out goals like this on your own, Noodles. You have your own style when plenty of your goals comes from the end of crosses. Positive that when these are so dificult to defend against.

Yeah, I love doing those - I think I (or probably my mate Tobi) discovered them by ourselves.

I've been trying to do your BLC for hours (with Falcon) and just can't do it. On the very few occasions I got Barrett in the right place with the ball, right on the byline, and made the chip, the keeper saved the header. Yet you do it with ease several times every game!

I think the diagonal chip is easier, although for some reason the chips frequently go inexplicably in the wrong direction (as in the last goal on my clip). They're still worth trying though, because as you say they are difficult to defend and they will always strand the keeper.

I got a bit carried away with this one and had to split it into 3 parts to upload..!

It's based on my newly-developing theory that there are basically 5 ways to score KO2 goals.
1) Use aftertouch (swerve, lobs, freekicks)
2) Make the keeper move out of the way (runs/passes/crosses to certain "sweet" spots, drawing him out)
3) Bypass the keeper altogether (runs, passes, crosses, chips, rebounds)
4) Aim for the near post
5) Gifts (penalties, own goals, keeper error)

I've already thought of one example that doesn't fit while I'm typing this! Oh well, here's the video...

Wow! Impressive and well organised collection, Noodles! 8) 8) 8)

So to keep this thread free from discussion, I've started a separate one here as there's much to talk about here :)

From top post...

gdh82 wrote:So to make it easier to find goals and clips, I'd suggest keeping this thread purely for such links. I'll link to this from the 'Improve Your KO2 Skills' thread too.

Feel free to add to this of course...

Garry

PS Any post which do not contain new clips may be deleted! In otherwords, save the waffle for another thread

Thanks to an ace idea from Alkis (plus a little cutting and pasting from me), the KO2 Video Library is born!

KVL always welcomes YOUR video contributions .... so come on, dig out those clips or maybe even compile some new ones and just add some fine music :) 8) Must be uploaded to youtube of course!

Contrary to the popular belief that Kick Off 2 is a collection of bugs disguised as a computer game, I do not consider that first replay a bug. The player shoots as the keeper is running back to his goal, the keeper grabs the ball just a tad too late at the wrong side of the line and hastily brings it out again, the linesman calls it, the ref gives a goal. It's not a bug, it's excellent physics!
