Sensible soccer users love KO2...remakes

Postby TheFoxSoft » Sat Jan 05, 2008 2:14 am

I wrote about Throw In in Sensible Soccer forum and they are writing excellent things about the game.
They says it's a pity that such remake cannot be done with Sensible as well (referring to Sensible2006).

Some comments:

It looks fantastic! Nice work sir

I mean this, for one man it shows what can be done.

I've already tried some beta versions and must say: it IS really just like Kick Off 2, even in 3D, just a very good remake!

Well, that could be the problem, if you don't like Kick Off 2 you won't like Throw In. But if do so, then give it a try, it's really worth it! It's not crap like Kick Off 2002 or Sensi 06, see for yourself.

Well bloody hell im impressed. I always liked ko2 but never enjoyed it as much as swos due to the trapping to pass. This however with a pass button for me is better than the original.

I'm impressed (still no SWOS though ). It feels more like a proper Kick Off 2 sequel than an actual remake. I absolutely loved the goals you could score! Excellent effects!

This game is going to be a great success in the Sensible community. Ironically in the KOA only few ones bother to play this game, open your eyes guys and give it a try. ;-)

This reaction does not surprise me. It is indeed a very good game.

Gianluca, when you are referring to Throw In in other forums, perhaps you should not call it a Kick Off 'remake'. The term 'remake' is used when people create PC games that are identical to the original ones -for a reason I will never understand-. Throw In is much more than that. You can see that it is inspired by KO2.

I think I agree since so many people are into this SWOS vs KO2 war.
(Which should be no war btw. :) )

I think it would be better to just say that it is inspired by retro games like Kick Off 2 and SWOS.
