Kaillera is amazing for what it is. Nobody should expect that playing a game online, when it was never even programmed for it, should be a trouble free experience.

I'm happy to plod along, hence most of Sunday attempting to play online, just wish the problem could be sorted...

I will try disabling the firewall, and see if it helps (if safe to do so?)

Im not sure Sid about disabling the firewall - Was/Is your modem connecting to anything else?

I really want KO online to succeed - Iv managed to find these servers but I dont know if they'r any good.

http://www.anti3d.com/topservers/index. ... pe&start=1

Im going to post on some websites to try and get some UK Kailerra servers - im also going to look into how i can host games myself.

Filip: The thing is, with SWOS I hardly ever have any games cancelled because of desynchronisation - which is why i cant get my head around the fact that Kick Off seems to be stalling on the server issue.

Dont worry though guys, we will have good online play soon!

Surely 50fps is normal? I haven't played an online game that's been any less. The problem is with lag on the input. I've had games playing at 50fps but there is an obvious delay when doing joystick moves. This is because of the way Kaillera works, transmitting user input.

And the server he was using was my PC. :D

He said it felt a bit sluggish, which you'd exepct with the lag as he had a ping of about 80ms. Earlier I played Steve C and he had a ping in the high 40's but said it was the best online game of Kick Off he'd played yet.

I love the internet, I get higher ping with Stainy who lives about a quarter of a mile away than I do with Steve who's abot 150 miles away.

Yep, last night's games on the BobServer were great. My ping was 52 but the delay (although still there) was quite small. Still had to time my shots wrong in order to have any success, but felt like I could concentrate on the game instead of fighting against the lag.
Sort out your connection Sid ffs!!

HOW?!!!!???
I don't have a problem with the net at all.
I have a 2.5mb line, provided by Sky.

:?
BT wrote:Our test also indicates that your line should be able to support a potential ADSL Max broadband line rate of 2.5Mbps or greater.

SKY Mid package, Netgear DG834GT router, upto 8mbs line speeds available (although my limit is 2.5mbs on the exchange), Norton 2007.

Sid, iv posted on abime.net to ask for any help with regards to servers - hopefully i'l get a few replies.

Dont worry though mate, if we try hard enough, good online play is inevitable, no matter how improbable it seems now.

Unfortunately this week iv been watching the footie on TV which is why i havent been online much.
