KO2CV - 0.94

Postby Steve Camber » Sat Apr 21, 2007 8:14 pm

Features

- An option can be set in the KO2CV menu to record the joystick input in replays.

- There is no need to specify a new filename inbetween matches when you want to save replays. Just keep hitting F1 during games to add more replays to the same save file. It is best to start a new save file after watching your replays in the action replay section.

Both features could do with some extra testing :D

That replay thing will be well handy.. how many times have I lost a brilliant goal by forgetting to change filename or save disk!!

Recording joystick input ? whats that for... I can only guess it`s used for the replay viewer maybe ??

will download and test soon as I can get in the spare room ( Mum is in there atm !! ) :)

Used in replay view only, and to see joystick input, you have to set the appropriate option in KO2CV menu.

Just to make it clear:

Image

With the option switched on, in the top right corner of the screen the joystick input is displayed during a replay.

In this picture, TeamA is going up with fire pressed, and TeamB is running in the down+right diagonal.

There is a minor glitch with the lines under players. Maybe I'll fix it one day ;)

I imagine having the joystick movements displayed in the replay might help me suss things out that work/don't work e.g when a goal does't quite come off - showing I used aftertouch before pressing the button !!! I can imagine me using that option quite a lot!!!

PS This is fast turning into a perfect day - first Bham win and go top of the league and later I learn that Steve's produced a new CV! YEESSSS!! 8)

Had a quick go to test out the joystick input replays and its really good! :)

In practice mode, I tried to trap and move around the keeper but hit the ball wide  I thought this was because I accidentally hit diagonal rather than up but it wasn't......it looks like I did everything right but still didn't score????

How come the player is still pointing diagonal when I'm pressing up?

Sorry Garry, I've watch that video about 10 times but I still can't see anything wrong with it!

I'm sorry too if I've uncovered (another) ko2 mystery! I can remember missing from a similar position to this several times in the past!

You are pointing diagonal when you kick it.. then you go up after you`ve kicked it ? ...

You are clearly on the diagonal when you press the button and when your man starts moving up, the joystick is showing up but by then the ball is safely into touch.

Yup. No mystery here - it's clear you shot when facing diagonally up.
