KO2CV - 0.93

Postby Steve Camber » Thu Mar 08, 2007 8:43 am

Features

Reset teams
Teams are reset properly in between matches. This can be disabled in the KO2CV menu if you want to continually play with a modified line-up.

Scanner-only mode
Useless but interesting. A debug feature which has been hidden inside the code, I have added an option in the KO2CV menu to enable it.

Human speedup off
Finally I have tracked down the speed advantage that human players have vs CPU players. It can be switched off to make 1 player games more challenging.

Autoslides off option
An option in the KO2CV menu will prevent your team from doing auto slides or auto headers. This does not include the unintentional slide when trying to trap the ball with an opponent nearby.

Free kick training mode
At last we have the initial release of this feature. Switch this on in the KO2CV menu. Take the ball to where you want to take the free kick from. Hit F2 to set the position. Get possession of the ball and Hit F3. A free kick will be taken from the selected position. When you have possession of the ball again, hit F3 to take again.. and again.

- Just for fun, I extended the distance that free kicks can be taken from so that you can take a kick from anywhere in your opponent's half. Right next to the half way line is a personal favourite :)

- You goalie is scared of taking free kicks, instead of kicking the ball he will run back to the goal.

- Don't ask a member of the other team to take the free kick, he will gladly accept, then steal the ball!

Hmm I love the idea of free kick practice ... but all I can see happening now is people getting so good at them that they will be able to score from anywhere in the attacking half.

It won't affect you - you only play me and I'm already that good.

No, just play a single game vs CPU :)

It already is.. Just switch it on in the menu and long free kicks will be enabled whether you hit the Fkeys or not!

cool
Just an idea for future i know its been discussed but could you force the keepers to have to kick the ball when its passed back to them , no picking up passbacks etc. Wouldnt really change the game as its just speeding things up
