KO2CV - 0.91

Postby Steve Camber » Thu Nov 16, 2006 3:44 am

Features

Backpass rule selectable in KO2CV menu.

This was quite quick to do. It's not totally correct from a FIFA rules point of view, but certainly does the job.. The keeper is unable to touch the ball if someone else on his team was the last to touch it. He doesn't have the option of kicking or heading the ball instead of using his hands(yet), but just stands helplessly as his defender rolls it into his net.

In theory, Barber could thump the ball through Cox (who gets a touch) and Fisher would be unable to stop the ball rolling over the goal line. Sweet.

The AEK team name check and subsequent team strength increase was put in place before the world cup. I thought you already knew!

Well done. That post contained an 8-letter acronym. I work in telecoms and the best I have seen is IGSMHLR (7 letters).

Wow! Nice one Steve 8) This is scary too. When I'm in possession facing my own goal, passing back to the keeper was always my safe way out. Damn! I really am gonna have to learn to turn with the ball now!!!

Incidentally, just tried this out - ball rolled through the keeper but hit the post ffs!! Can't even score own goals ! :?

once backpass will be completed it'll be the main feature of CV!, Great work and actually really funny having a GK helpless on backpassing :D

Do I suppose the next step will be a GK human controlled when a backpass is done?? :)

Thank you Steve!!!!

This will really force everybody to play a more attractive style of KO2!!!

Will it be possible in the future the make the keeper a field player when the ball comes from a team mate?

Maybe the backpass rule should go in after 2 touches form the own team, so that shooting through the opponents player does not make it a back pass. This also makes more sure that the back pass was done on purpose.
