The BLC is a very special goal, I'd work on those curled shots instead. For the BLC you have to be very close to the line or it won't work (not-PBDers will have trouble lining up perfectly). Then you have to get the chip right and I don't know about you, but I mess it up too often (balls just rolls ahead or is chipped the opposite way). And you'll have to head it, too. Go to Ostersund and visit John there, I hear he's quite adapt at BLCs... The curled shot is the easier option for beginners to work with.

One more note (thanks, Robert, for conveying this to me in Groningen) about #2. Players actually have to run into their position first. Trap the ball in different parts of the pitch and watch on the radar where your players are moving. If you try #2 directly, which is, after recovering the ball near your own goal and booting it out to the winger and directly try to cross it in - your striker just won't be there for the header, he'll still be running up the pitch. If you, however, trap the ball and wait, it'll work. Practice mode really is great for trying this out. Play the ball back to your defenders, then play it out quickly to the wings, trap the ball when you are in a good position for such a cross - and wait two seconds.

I remember Alkis' goal tutorial, I might have it somewhere. But you had to watch it in KO2 itself using the replay function, a video would be better of course.

Haakon wrote:Gdh82 has made a very good faq for beginners. I understand after being in the WC that you have to learn routine-goals, because you must score 5-6 goals in every match. In one of the topic of the faq, routine goals are discussed:

Vkafiris mention these routine goals:

1. BLC (no efficient defense)
2. Nikos goals (goalie won't jump to grab the ball: known bug)
3. Kick Off lob (goalie won't jump to grab the ball: known bug)
4. Diagonals (goalie leaves the posts unattended: known bug)
5. Diagonal centers (the defenders are switching: known bug)
6. Headers (goalie won't jump to grab the ball: known bug)
7. Goals from the corner kick followed by a header (no efficient defense)
8. Kick Off routines (no efficient defense)
9. Lobs from mid distance (goalie won't jump to grab the ball: known bug)
10. Dribble the goalie and shoot goal (goalie rushes out of the posts too fast: known bug)
11. Aftertouch goals (the ball bends to different direction: known bug)
12. Penalty kicks (no efficient defense)
13. High passes (defenders switching: known bug)
14. Low passes (defenders switching: known bug)
15. Foul kicks (sometimes goalie not good enough to grab the ball: known bug)
16. Walk-on-goal-line goal (no efficient defense)

Some of this is joking(nr 13 and 14?), but i had a lot of these goals against me in London (that's the only advantage by losing 10-0 a lot of times: you'll se a variety of goals :D )

How does Nikos score those nr 2 goals? He had a lot against me, and frankly i thought they were nice. Is it a lob from just outside 16 meters, or is it a shoot?

Nr 5? Anyone care to explain that one, can't remember seeing it...

I also had very few (none i think) corner goals against me. Is this "normal"? is there any 100% routine goals on corners...? I have ofcourse scored on corners, but it's kind of random.

movies on these easy goals?

have t laught at all these KNOWN BUGS. They aren't, its skill to take advantage of these AI glitches you call bugs. There are also real life soccer bugs then if the golie let a diagonal pass in? You can not stop all the balls, perfect golies do not exist. And when you have a brave one, which do not mean invincible, you will give him the golden ball (Buffon)!

When I play soccer I'm a golie and each time I enter the field being sure no ball will pass because there are no goals theoretically you can avoid/safe. This expentancy is normally in practice unattended within the next 5 minutes of game

Missed WC 2011, 2010 and 2009: this should stop in future; WC 2008 placed 29th; WC2007 placed 15th (CO-ORGANIZER OF THE WORLDCUP); WC2006 placed 32th; WC2005 placed 24th

read the whole thread. it has already been revealed that vasilis wrote this list as a joke when there was a discussion about banning certain goals.
