Kick Off 2 signature generator LOOKING FOR ANOTHER DEVELOPER

Postby Il_Maestro » Sat Jul 15, 2006 12:58 pm

Hello, it's been a while I was thinking about how good would it be a signature based on KOA stats database.
I worked some days on that idea and, now, a first version of a script to manage such signatures is ready: ksig 1.0.
It's only a first version, i know there are some bugs but i hope for the feedback here

It's hosted on my domain but the underlying database is aligned with the usual one created by Abyss and updated by Alkis: every time Alkis will update the stats, i'll do the same with the signature db and everyone who is using the banner will see it updated automagically.
Whenever anyone wants to change it's signature, he will only repeat the creation procedure and the old one will be overwritten.

Main features:
** 3 different styles (1 discontinued because meaningless after the april KOADB change)
** text background customizable
** every kickoff2 kit design implemented
** text, edge, shirt, shorts color customizables
** text edge width customizable
** country flag selectable (lot of bugs here)
** joystick selectable

To play with it go here: http://www.lutek.it/ksig/ksig.php.

Great idea - but the font is really hard to read I'm afraid..

Oky, you are not the first to point this: i'll add at least another font selectable. Any suggestion? It has to be good when small. :?

I think it's a fantastic idea and I love the result.
But there is a problem.. the stats are incorrect. The Database Analyser (which uses the same database I sent you) has the following stats for me:

Total Games: 475
Wins: 344
Draws: 45
Defeats: 86
Goals: 2618F - 1227A

As you can see, the ones in my signature are different.
I'm not sure, but I think you are counting the Team A=Team B matches twice.
For example, Ben C has played 35 matches, all as Team N. The KSIG returns almost double; see how it counts the Team N matches as Team A and Team B matches as well:

Love it ... but a question - can you add England, Scotland, N Ireland and Wales (+ corresponding flags) to the country list please?
