KO2CV - 0.76

Postby Steve Camber » Sat Dec 24, 2005 1:47 am

http://www.camber.demon.co.uk/KO2CV

KO2CV076.zip

New feature:

8 Formations accessible during the game.

1 = 4-2-4
2 = 4-3-3
3 = 4-4-2
4 = 5-3-2
CTRL+1 = balanced
CTRL+2 = blitz
CTRL+3 = falcon
CTRL+4 = lockout

This is practically untested, so let me know any problems, and I'll release an update ASAP.

Merry Christmas to the KOA!

Better point out that to get this to work I had to disable the ability to load PM tactics. It may be possible to have 8 selectable tactics and PM tactics in the future, but for now it's just one or the other :)

Well done Steve 'Messiah' Camber!

Let's LAUNCH this at the Landan International Tournament! Should be fun and experimental all at once.

I've tested 0.76 with Luigi, Mario, Fabio and my bro Sandro (do you like these betatesters? :) )
The first thing that leaps out at you is the 2 hands problem for team B: while TEAM A can switch the ET using one hand only, team B must use 2 hands, leave the joystick alone...
The second thing that leaps out to me is that I'm not able to use the FALCON!!!! My lovely Falcon!!! where is my defence? and the wings? ARGH!!!!! :lol:
the only match I have lost yesterday was with my Falcon... 8)

I intended to use SHIFT+1-4 but had trouble detecting the SHIFT keypress. As it was getting late, and I could detect a CTRL press I used that, which seemed a good alternative.

Only after releasing the ADF and then trying it out on my A1200 did I realise that the Amiga only has ONE CTRL key, unlike the PC keyboard which has one on the left and one on the right. Oops!

So I'll change it to the SHIFT key somehow :)

Double-tapping would be easy enough to do, but I would like to keep things compatible with the original format - When you hit "1", you know you are always going to get 4-2-4, and you dont have to check the text which appears at the bottom of the screen to be sure.
