My Player Manage game is at 2169.. my PM is long gone!!

I reckon there's a hexedit solution to this. From what I remember, the Player Manager's name is zeroed out. That may be all that's needed...

This gets interesting!
Its still cheating though.... I take it that hexed teams are not allowed to play in the KO2 tournaments?
And would you know if a team was edited anyhow??
Obviously this is for just PC, and not Amiga?
Can you see all people's games???
Is that a function of the emulator or something?
(I don't know anything about it!!!!)
So many questions... keeps the board going and you lot entertained (oh, you've got PM to do that!)

Please could someone do me an idiots guide on how to do this?
I've tried it with both PlayerManager.ipf and that PlayerManager v1.1e version. I've carefully followed the instructions in this thread and the thread here - http://www.ko-gathering.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=9333 - but I cannot locate the hex figures in my uss save state.
I've tried both Hex Workshop and XVI32, but I don't really know how to use them. To check that my dec to hex are correct, I made a note my stats:
Passing 171 = AB
Shooting 184 = B8
Tackling 133 = 85
Keeping 131 = 83
I do 'Find' in the hex editor and type in ABB88583 but it never finds anything. Where am I going wrong?
If someone could maybe post some screenshots of exactly what to do, I'd really appreciate it.

Just a thought..
In recent versions of WinUAE, I have a feeling that state saves (USS) might be compressed. If so, then you wont find your sequence of 4 bytes. So maybe try an older copy of WinUAE?
