Wembley versus Normal Pitch

Postby TheFoxSoft » Mon Jan 31, 2005 12:19 pm

I always loved the Wembley GFX but i never noticed any different ball behaviour respect to the normal one.
Does anyone can tell me the differences?
I also added a poll: if you have to choose between Normal pitch and the Wembley one, which pitch do you pick?

I liked the graphics of Wembley, but for some bizarre reason I just voted for normal

The ball behaviour is the same on the ST and the Amiga. It's just that they look the same!

yes i know, but we could had been confused by the different GFX, while you were more focused on ball behaviour (since on ST pitch have all the same GFX). So have you noticed different ball behaviour between normal and wembley pitch?

Well, my impression is that the ball bounces a bit more in the normal pitch. Of course I may be wrong. After all, I haven't use the Wembley pitch since 1991.

yes, i have the impression the ball bounce lower and there is less ground friction in Wembley pitch.

I am sure Wembley was slightly more sort of 'wet' so the ball would slide better when you played low passes etc.

It was a little quicker than Normal and our style of play made the most of it. We also loved WET pictch because of the passes you could play.

Wembley was sort of slightly more like WET than Normal was....
