I read the forums more than is healthy i know but i feel some people are being somewhat harsh towards championship manager.
The common theme is that championship manager is to detailed and that player manager is better due to the fact that it focuses more on tactics alone.Let us remember that CM is a game which focuses solely on mangement and not actual playing of football and it is the best in this respect. The mixed metaphors of genre here are becoming evident.Lets seperate the eggs from the flour and understand that CM is the master of intensive management,PM is a lite management simulation with actual playing of football tacked on.

I agree. But the ultimate would be PM with CM integrated, or CM with PM integrated, wouldn't you think? <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

I think the agreement is that any UKO UPM etc game is that options are the way.

I personally want zillions of useless stats, I love stats, I love baseball and that is 99% stats 1% sport!

I want opta stats in UPM etc etc, but I also want the option to ignore stats (or let the cpu manage stuff) so that you can play it as more a footy game than management sim.
