As I have already said, the Amiga 4-player adaptor is a much better solution that the PC Competitor, because
a) It's digital
b) The implementation of gameports on PCs isn't standard. Therefore compatibility and good performance on all machines cannot be guaranteed.

I have both cables (I bought the Competitor, whose creator is a very nice guy) and I made the other myself. In the three machines I tried them, the 4 player adaptor performed better.

It's not that expensive. I am currently looking for what is better to buy, so I'll have a new soldiering iron v. soon.
